PM Youth Laptop Scheme

Which students are eligible for the PM Youth Laptop Scheme 2024? The young generation is the valuable capital of Pakistan. Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif announced that the government will provide online education opportunities to talented students through laptops. This project aims to provide laptops to talented students in higher educational institutions across the country and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. This project has been approved as the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme. In this scheme, one lakh laptops will be given to students through an online transparent system. Earlier, the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan successfully ran two such schemes.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had allocated funds worth crores of rupees to about one lakh students from all over Pakistan with the latest laptops.

PM Laptop Scheme Online Registration

Online applications for laptop schemes have been made easy under HEC. Like the previous phases, this year also the laptop scheme has been given to EC so that laptops are distributed among the eligible and gifted students of universities across Pakistan. This year the eligibility criteria have been tightened to avoid cheating.

Youth are a valuable asset to our country. Seeing the development of other countries in this world of technology, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif started a laptop scheme to help the development and higher education of the youth.

نوجوان نسل پاکستان کا قیمتی سرمایہ ہے۔ پاکستان اس لحاظ سے ایک مختلف ملک ہے کہ اس کی 63% آبادی کی عمر 30 سال سے کم ہے۔ حکومت پاکستان تعلیمی معیار، روزگار اور روزگار کے ذرائع فراہم کر کے نوجوانوں پر سرمایہ کاری کرتی ہے۔ حکومت پاکستان نے نوجوانوں کو مناسب ہنر فراہم کرکے بے روزگاری میں کمی کے لیے مخصوص پروگرام شروع کیے ہیں۔

پاکستان کے معزز وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف نے اعلان کیا کہ حکومت ہونہار طلباء کو لیپ ٹاپ کے ذریعے آن لائن تعلیم کے مواقع فراہم کرے گی۔ اس پروجیکٹ کا مقصد ملک بھر اور آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے اعلیٰ تعلیمی اداروں میں ہونہار طلباء کو لیپ ٹاپ فراہم کرنا ہے۔ اس پروجیکٹ کو پرائم منسٹر یوتھ لیپ ٹاپ اسکیم کے طور پر منظور کیا گیا ہے۔ اس اسکیم میں آن لائن شفاف نظام کے ذریعے طلبہ کو ایک لاکھ لیپ ٹاپ دیے جائیں گے۔ اس سے قبل پاکستان میں ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن نے ایسی دو اسکیمیں کامیابی سے چلائی تھیں۔

Eligibility Criteria for PM Laptop Scheme

As he did during his previous tenure as Chief Minister of Punjab, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Shareef has expressed his interest in personally distributing free laptops to students. He will visit each university to hand over the laptops to the deserving students.

He wished to distribute laptops to students in the far-distance universities of Fata and Sindh, to show them love and care so they don’t feel neglected by their Prime Minister.

PM Laptop Scheme Eligibility criteria have also been kept the same as in the previous two schemes. 

  • Students are requested to renew their CNIC. If their National Identity Card has expired, their applications will not be approved.
  • Students must have a valid National Identity Card to be eligible for the PM Laptop Scheme.
  • The Applicants must come before the last date of registration.
  • Students should be admitted to eligible universities.
  • Students of private universities recognized by HEC, and degree-awarding technical engineering students can also be eligible for the free PM laptop scheme.
  • Distance education institutions that are not on the registration list of HEC cannot apply for the PM laptop scheme.

Ineligible Students And Universities for PM Laptop Scheme

As in any aid program, certain eligibility criteria are set. Similarly, there are some reasons for disqualification. In the PM Laptop Scheme, certain rules have been laid down regarding the eligibility criteria. Students of some universities and technical colleges were disqualified from applying for the free laptop scheme. The reasons for the disqualification of these students and institutions are given below.

  • Those students who are admitted to a private sector higher education institution.
  • Those students who have already benefited from the laptop scheme of the provincial government.
  • Foreign nationals who enroll in Pakistani universities.
  • Students who apply through an online portal developed by HEC.
  • Your eligibility criteria will be checked while receiving the laptop.
  • If a student does not provide the necessary documents on time, he will not be given a free laptop.
  • Students graduating at the time of laptop distribution are ineligible for this program.

Laptop Scheme 2024 Distribution Criteria

Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme 2023 will empower youth in the field of information technology. Due to global factors, the inflation rate is increasing day by day, which has made it difficult for students to get a new laptop. With the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, eligible students can now access the latest laptops and stay abreast of the latest technology.

Following are the criteria set by HEC for the distribution of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme.

Laptops will be distributed to eligible students on a merit basis.

  • The university for the laptop scheme will be determined according to the quota issued by the government. 
  • The Prime Minister has allocated 14 percent of the laptop quota for the deserving students of Balochistan. 
  • 14 thousand laptops will be distributed among the students of Balochistan under the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme. 
  • The remaining 86 thousand laptops will be distributed in the remaining four provinces of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. 
  • The government of Pakistan has expressed its desire to increase the number of laptops in 2024.
